Chartley Bedrooms was founded in 1996, when mother-of-three Lesley Richardson failed to find good quality, attractive and affordable kids beds for her childrens rooms.
Having discovered instead a factory and workers raring to go, she set about making the pieces herself! The company became a real 'family firm' when husband Fernando joined one year later and, now, Chartley Bedrooms manufacture a full range of furniture to suit everyone from new-born babies to grandparents!
Hand-made boys and girls beds can be seen at their showroom within the Polhill Garden Centre, Badgers Mount, Kent TN14 7AD (exit 4, M25). Furniture can be painted MDF, colour-washed or natural pine or real wood veneer - the choice is entirely yours. We can paint anything you like on the furniture. Our team of skilled artists can add any design you please with stunning results. Special sizes can be made to order. Our Home Visiting Service (SE England only) adds that extra personal touch which means our customers come back to us time and time again. Chartley also offer a unique 'Part Exchange' scheme on any unwanted items, allowing you to either replace or add to your childs bedroom collection. We also offer a full re-painting and colour match system, so you can be sure new items will match old items. Names can also be changed or removed.
We produce a range of bespoke radiator covers/cabinets in varied styles, which can be hand painted or left with a plain painted or veneer finish.
