Your new hand painted bedroom furniture is beautifully made by Chartley Bedrooms, but is delivered and assembled by a self employed van driver - either Steve or Edward or Adrien - assisted by young Danny (a very experienced Chartley worker!)

You will be required to pay the delivery charge separately, directly to the driver. The driver and Danny, will firstly 'put together' your furniture, then check and load your items from our Gillingham (Kent) factory.

Upon arrival to your house, (usually in the afternoon) they will take everything upstairs and assemble your bed, position your wardrobe, drawers etc. They will then give everything a good clean, and leave everything ready for you to use!

If you require any items or radiator cabinets to be fitted, this will be discussed when you place your order and the appropriate fees will be confirmed. FITTING is NOT included in the 'delivery and assembly' price.

All delivery charges and fitting charges are payable directly to the driver, separately.

Delivery/assembly/fitting charges ARE NOT included in your balance payment to Chartley Bedrooms.

The showroom ladies will call you the day before your agreed delivery date to confirm payment methods and delivery money. Please call 01959 533676 if you require clarification on any of these points.

The time of your delivery is usually between 1pm and 7pm, with 1 hours notice.

We are unable to give an exact time! We are coming from Gillingham, Kent and you could be in Middle Wallop!! The traffic conditions are such that no one can predict a smooth journey! Do please feel free to call us in the showroom at any time during the day for a 'time update'. Please do not sit at home all day waiting for us, continue with your normal routine and we will give you 1 hours notice (or more if needed).

If you have any special requirements, please let us know when you are placing your order.

Once your delivery date has been booked, we are UNABLE to change or cancel it! Please ensure all carpets/decorators/plumbing/electrics are completed well in advance of your delivery date!

We have no facilities to STORE your furniture, it HAS to be delivered on the arranged day! You have been allocated your day, and the drivers have been booked, it is not possible to cancel/change the date!

p.s. We have found a very reasonable company that can deliver Chartley Bedrooms furniture to far flung places such as Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall!!! They can carefully deliver your new Chartley furniture, but they will NOT be able to assemble it for you! If you have a 'man that can' then Bob's your uncle!!!!!!

Please note that all furniture is 'rigid carcass' (the chests, bookcases, toyboxes, desks, chairs, mirrors etc. are fully made and require no assembly.) Wardrobes are generally in 2 pieces, the top is screwed to the lower section. All beds are in pieces and are slotted together at the ends - the slats are screwed into the frame for strength.
